Symptoms that may indicate a defective lower microphone:
- The person you're calling can't hear you during phone calls, or only very faintly.
- Voice messages or voice memos sound heavily muffled, distorted, or silent.
- Voice assistants respond, but the subsequent voice command is not recognized correctly.
- In video recordings, the audio is noticeably quieter or lacks a stereo effect (usually not completely silent, since other microphones are also involved).
