Symptoms that may indicate a defective earpiece speaker:
- During phone calls, you cannot hear your interlocutor or can only hear them very quietly when holding the iPhone to your ear.
- The sound in the earpiece is distorted, crackles, or hisses.
- In speakerphone mode, with headphones, or when playing music, the sound works normally – it is only distorted when making calls with the phone to your ear.
